Education exchanges are one of the strongest components of the Thai-Australia relationship.
Recently, eight South Australian Government teachers came to Thailand to spend a week in partner schools across seven provinces as part of the Australia and Thailand Partnering Project.
The teachers then gathered with Thai counterparts and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner Susan Kahwati to share their experiences. Later this year, selected Thai teachers will also undertake an exchange program in South Australia for one week.
The South Australian Department for Education and Thailand’s Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), Ministry of Education, signed an MOU in 2014 which resulted in the Australia and Thailand Partnering Project and other educational projects. This year is the sixth round of the program.
